Montenegro National Parks

In the impressive mosaic of Montenegro’s natural attractions four national parks have been established with exceptional natural, landscape and cultural features which have not only national, but international importance.

The national parks: Biogradska Gora, Durmitor, Lovcen and Skadar lake, encompass 7.4 percent of the territory of the Republic of Montenegro.

The Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro, established in 1993 in Podgorica, is responsible for the protection and management of the four Montenegrin National Parks, preparation and implementation of the protection programme and promotion of the parks.
